Description:
Never has there been a greater demand for skilled professionals than in the constantly and rapidly changing health care industry. For students with an interest in health issues or those who are undecided about a career area, this one-year class provides the information and opportunities for making an informed choice. Students will get an overview of occupations in the health care field by touring medical facilities and prepare for a job in area nursing homes/hospitals/laboratories by learning basic nursing and home health skills, including phlebotomy and pharmacy technician. Students are expected to achieve Certified Nurse Aide, Home Health Aide credentials, and Medication Administration Training.
Hours:
Morning session – 8:10 – 11:10 a.m.
Afternoon session – 12:45 – 3:45 p.m.
